Snack Cups

Having a few reliable snack cups on hand can make food prep, lunch packing, and snack time simpler, and these are my absolute favorite options. Over the past 10 years of parenting and in my job running this website, I have tested out dozens of snack containers. These are the ones that have lasted and that I have relied on again and again.

In this post I’ll cover the best toddler snack cups in a few different sizes and materials so you can choose the one that works best for your specific needs. I’ll also mention ones adults and big kids can use, too.

Beaba and WeeSprout containers

Best Snack Cup with Lid

WeeSprout 4- or 8-Ounce Containers: We have a set of each of these sizes, and they are constantly in use. I love the durable glass for safe storage and over the past 2 years, we have never had one break. They also make a plastic version if you prefer.

Best Stackable Snack Cup

Beaba Clip Containers: This set of containers stacks (so the lid of one fits into the base of another) for easy packing on the go. And they nest easily for compact storage. We’ve been using this set for the last 4 years, and it’s durable, easy to clean, and an ideal size for snacking.

Munchkin Snack Catcher

Favorite Spill-Proof Snack Cup

Munchkin Snack Catcher: You can’t go wrong with the iconic Munchkin Snack Cup, which has a lid with a star on top that little hands can reach through. This helps the kids have access to their food while limiting spillage. (The price is also right at around $6 for a two pack.) They also make a Stainless Snack Catcher.

Mushie Silicone Snack Cup: This design is similar to the Munchkin one above but made from silicone, if you prefer that material.

Best Stainless-Steel Snack Cup

EcoLunchbox Nesting Stainless Containers: This set of 3 is a mix of sizes (7 ounces, 1.5 cups, and 2.5 cups) and has a stainless-steel base with a silicone lid. I’ve used these for myself and the kids for about 5 years. They still look brand-new.

Tanjiae Stainless-Steel Snack Containers for Kids: These are 8 ounces in size and feature an easy-open silicone lid. They are leak-proof (based on the design of the lid, I’d say more likely to be leak-resistant) and are perfect for kids’ snacks.

Best Larger-Size Snack Cup

We like the larger cup in the Beaba set (both the 5- and 8-ounce) and the 8-ounce WeeSprout Jars for larger portions. We also use the Stasher Snack Bags and the Bumkins Snack Bags, which are made from reusable, washable fabric.

Best Tips for Success

  • Wash before use and according to the manufacturer’s directions.
  • Dry foods tend to be less messy when packing snacks for on the go.
  • Aim for a protein or a fat in most snacks to ensure they are filling enough, but trust your child’s unique hunger—even if it’s different than you’re expecting.
  • Make sure to pack a snack for yourself!
