Halloween bubble foam was a spooky game changer

It’s the puffy, fluffy nature of bubble foam that makes it the best! It has a consistency that’s a bit magical – and kids know it!

The way it grows as you mix it up is just fascinating and I know you’ll love every minute of it as it grows!

Here’s how to set up Halloween Bubble Foam:

  • Bubble bath or body wash (TEAR FREE)
  • Water
  • Optional: food coloring

For each color, I followed this recipe:

  • ½ cup bubble bath / body wash / tear free soap
  • 2 cup water
  • 4-5 drops of food coloring (I did orange and black, you can do what’s right for you or leave it plain white… like a ghost)

With a hand mixer, blender, or stand mixer, mix the ingredients until “stiff peaks” form – like you’re making soapy meringue.

Just like that, POOF – it goes from bubble bath and water to bubble foam. It’s magical.

I repeated this recipe for each color I made.

It’s time to make this bubble foam into Halloween foam!

I tipped my two colors (orange and black) into my 41 quart storage container and added in all sorts of Halloween toys:

  • Spiders
  • Cauldrons
  • Pumpkins
  • Bats
  • Skeleton hands
  • Eyeballs

I found most of this at the Dollar Store – some of them I’ve had for years and I just pack away and save for each Halloween. Makes it so easy to do these kinds of Halloween activities.

My kids had a BLAST with their Halloween bubble foam!

This was an absolute hit for my kids and my daughter asked the best question:

“Why haven’t we done this before?!”

Fair enough little lady. We should have been doing this for years!

Is this going to stain?

In my experience, food coloring gets a bad reputation, but it doesn’t stain clothing. It looks scary but it water soluble so it rinses off little hands.

If you get some one clothing, even if it’s concentrated and not diluted by water, just set the clothing in the bath tub or sink in cold water for about an hour and let the color magically seep out (that’s what I did for my son in the white mummy sweatsuit: it all came clean sitting in my bathtub).

But remember, I’m just some lady on the Internet. Use your best judgement.
