Whenever we have a lot of fresh peaches, they’re on sale at the market, or I have some frozen ones that need to be used up, we make a batch of peach sauce.
The beauty of this recipe is that you just have to dice the fruit, simmer it, and blend it into a delicious puree. No peeling or blanching the fruit required!

Easy Peach Sauce

Ingredients
- 8-10 medium peaches
- 1 cup water
Instructions

Halve the peaches. Remove the pits. Roughly chop. (You’ll have about 8 cups.) I leave the peel on.

Add to a medium pot set over medium heat with the water. Cover and bring to a simmer. Remove the cover and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the peaches are very soft and starting to break down.

Turn off the heat and let cool for 5-10 minutes.

Pruee with an immersion blender or add peaches to a standard blender. Blend smooth. (If using a standard blender, leave the vent open so the steam can escape while you blend.)

Store in the fridge or serve warm.
